Welcome Back- Our Blog 2.0

Although it didn’t feel like it this past weekend, Spring is in the air ! Rebirth, fresh start, new beginnings. We feel it’s a perfect time for Photolux Studio to re-start this blog. We have to admit its fallen by the wayside in the last few months. It’s not that we don’t like interacting with you all, it’s just we all got so busy and before we knew it, a few weeks turned into months with no posts.

We’re excited to restart this blog and keep you guys informed about what we’re up to; latest trends, conferences we’re attending, weddings and commercial shoots we’re involved with and one of the best parts of our job- mingling at some of the city’s best social events.

We’re also starting up a Facebook page in the near future so please become a ‘fan’, comment on our updates and message us with any questions or comments you have.

2010 Applied Arts Award

As a challenge to ourselves and to see how we stand with our fellow photographers, we enjoy sending some of our best images into print competitions. We were honoured this year by being chosen to appear in the 2010 Applied Arts Photography Awards Annual. We submitted a series of images from "101 Flavours to Try Before You Die" that appeared in Ottawa Magazine's Food Issue last October. Ever since they have done really well in various contest. They were also selected to appear in the 2010 National Xposed show put on by Capic as well as being selected as a finalist in this year's National Magazine Awards in the Still Life Category.
