How Sweet it is....

Well it's finally here...

We started the project in Oct. 2007 and finished it in Feb. 2008...  and now just in time for the holidays, Larousse is launching the newest "Le petit Larousse du Chocolat".  It has been published in 5 languages and is being sold all across the world.  The project was done in conjunction with Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute, 3 of it's chefs and our team at Photolux Studio.  The "Le petit Larousse du Chocolat" contains 170 chocolat recipes to suit all tastes. Each recipe is accompanied by a colour photograph and each chapter contains several step by step descriptive images to help you in the preparation.

It's a great honour for Photolux to have been involved in the visual production of this book and we are quite please with the printed results!

Although you may have a hard time getting your hands on a copy, they were sold out at Chapters & Amazon when I last checked...  it's well worth the wait.

Featured Studio YSI Newsletter

We were recently featured in the YSI newsletter. YSI (You Select It) is an Australian based Company that creates Wedding Album Design Templates and sells them Worldwide. They are one of the most recognized names in the Industry.

YSI's founder,  Martin Schembri, along with his son Ryan,  are also two of the World's Finest Wedding Photographers whose work has been recognized Worldwide.  They have become great friends of ours over the years. We always look forward to seeing them at WPPI, the International Photography Convention held annually in Las Vegas.

OLD SAN JUAN PUERTO RICO

Well....back from Puerto Rico.
Old San Juan was just spectacular and the people were wonderful. Lots of beautiful buildings, scenery and culture to enjoy!
I was invited to Speak at The Caribbean Photography Associations Annual Conference and to put on a full day lighting workshop. It was very well received.
I have included a few pics from the workshop and of Old San Juan. Definitely one of those "must see" spots in the world.
To all of the great people I met there....THANK YOU for inviting me and for making it such a great experience!

Next Workshop- January 25th-February 1st. Frank and I are doing a 4 Day Workshop in the Myan Riviera in Mexico for PPOC Alberta.

Our Ottawa workshop will likely be held again in August....we may even add an April date.

"Buddha" Stephen Leafloor

Back in August, I had the opportunity to photograph "Buddha" aka Stephen Leafloor for the October issue of Readers Digest. Buddha is one of the longest-practicing B-boy in Canada. Still a big part of the Canadian Floor Masters, he now does social work with the youth in the arctic through blueprintforlife.ca. The staff at Readers Digest loved the images so much that they decided to do a telephone interview about the shoot and put together an audio slideshow for some of their favorite takes from the shoot... Ottawa Workshop A Success!

We are pleased to say that our Ottawa workshop was a success. The numbers were down a little from our usual sold out 20 spots. Nevertheless, good times were had by all. We had photographers join us from Canada and the US and some great laughs and information were shared.
